Why I chose property management.
Yes, you read that right. I didn’t ‘fall into the industry’ or ‘just end up here’. After assessing a variety of industries and businesses I chose property management.
My journey began with a firsthand understanding of the transformative impact of investment properties. Like you, my husband and I recognized the potential of real estate, transitioning from homeowners to landlords and witnessing the growth from one property to many. And our rentals were thriving.
At the same time, I was having conversation after conversation with people that had a bad rental experience and the entire concept of investment property ownership was ruined for them.
Then it occurred to me, I can help other do this. I can help shift the narrative around rental ownership and help people make their rentals thrive. And from that the foundation of Iron Creek was formed.
Through Iron Creek Property Management, I’ve taken that personal experience and founded a company dedicated to helping others navigate the rewarding path of investment property ownership by excelling at the basics.
Here’s a few things I believe are important in the way we do business.
We use best practices, but we’re not blinded by trends. Why? Because we have a different model than most. We focus on mid to high-end single family homes and charge a fair price. Because of those two things, we aren’t always looking for the next trendy revenue stream (that ends up costing owners or renters more), we don’t do the nickel-and-diming fees, and we aren’t losing the human touch by outsourcing and automation.
